PFIJ And AJI Condemn Violence Against Journalists Photos During Aug. 25 Demo In Front Of The DPR Building

JAKARTA - Violence against journalists occurred again when the Police tried to push back hundreds of protesters in front of the DPR/MPR RI building on Monday, August 25, 2025. Journalists of Antara's photo, Bayu Pratama, was intimidated by violence and was hit by police officers during a clash between demonstrators and the police on Jalan Gatot Subroto, Jakarta. Indonesian Journalists Jakarta (PFIJ), and the Alliance of Independent Journalists (AJI) strongly criticized the police's repressive actions against journalists while carrying out coverage duties in front of the parliamentary complex.
