JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto projects that the dividends of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) deposited to the state will reach Rp. 200 trillion in 2026.
This figure increased compared to the net dividend in 2024 after the government made corrections to the SOE financial statements.
"The dividend of SOEs in 2026 is projected to rise again to 200 trillion without any PMN," said Prabowo in the 2026 Annual Meeting of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly and joint session of the Indonesian House of Representatives and the Indonesian DPD, Friday, August 14.
Prabowo explained that the state-owned enterprise dividend in 2024 after deducting the State Capital Investment (PMN) was recorded at Rp53 trillion. Meanwhile, in 2025, the figure increased to Rp138 trillion.
Compared to 2024, continued Prabowo, the net dividend of SOEs in 2026 will increase from Rp53 trillion to Rp200 trillion. This means an increase of almost four times.
"This means that from 2024 to 2026 it will increase from Rp. 53 trillion to Rp. 200 trillion or can be said to be four times larger, 400 percent increase without PMN, brothers," he said.
Prabowo assessed that the increase showed improvements in the management and management of SOEs. He also emphasized the importance of presenting accurate financial figures without manipulation.
"This proves that with a common sense management, with the intention of not cheating, our success can come very quickly," he said.
Prabowo said that the increased state-owned enterprise profits would also be used to support the downstreaming program. Through Danantara, the government has groundbreaking 13 downstreaming projects on February 6, 2026 and 13 other projects on April 29, 2026.
The projects include the processing of coal into dimethyl ether (DME) as an alternative to LPG, the downstream processing of copper and gold, the processing of industrial salt, and the development of alumina smelters into aluminum.
"The profits of SOEs are now used to accelerate our downstream efforts," said Prabowo.
In addition to downstream processing, the government will also encourage the development of the upstream sector and acquire the world's best companies to obtain technology, intellectual property rights, management, markets, and experience.
"We will also buy the best companies in the world so that we can get the technology, we can get the IP-IP, we can get the best management, we can get the market, we can get their experience, so that later our economy will be strong," he said.
