JAKARTA - Bank Jakarta strengthens its collaboration with Persija Jakarta as an Official Partner in navigating the 2026-2027 competition season.

More than just sponsorship, the collaboration titled "United for Jakarta" is directed to become a strategic partnership that brings together the football ecosystem and the Persija community with Bank Jakarta's financial services and digital transformation.

The kick-off of the collaboration between Bank Jakarta and Persija was held at Taman Suropati, Jakarta, Sunday, August 9, and was attended by the Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung, President Director of Bank Jakarta Agus H. Widodo, President of Persija Jakarta Mohamad Prapanca, General Chairman of The Jakmania Muhammad Aditya Putra, and Persija coach Shin Tae-yong, Persija players and officials.

Bank Jakarta President Director Agus H Widodo said there was a strong identity behind the collaboration between the two institutions.

"Persija carries the name of Jakarta on its chest. Bank Jakarta carries the name of Jakarta in our identity. Both were born and grew up in the same city. Therefore, for us this collaboration is not just a sponsorship, but how two large Jakarta ecosystems can create wider value for the community," said Agus in writing received by VOI, Sunday, August 9.

According to Agus, Bank Jakarta wants to bring this cooperation beyond brand visibility to engagement that can be felt directly by the large family of Persija and The Jakmania.

"From sponsorship to partnership, from visibility to experience. We want this collaboration to present programs, benefits and experiences that are relevant to the large family of Persija and The Jakmania, as well as bringing Bank Jakarta closer to the lives of Jakarta people," he said.

Bank Jakarta will develop various activations with Persija, including the use of banking and digital services in the Persija ecosystem, loyalty programs, benefits for supporters, and various collaborative programs throughout the competition season.

This step expands the concept of collaboration which previously included the integration of digital banking services at Persija Store, Persija Café and Persija Access.

The 2026-2027 season collaboration also took place simultaneously with the start of a new era for Persija with coach Shin Tae-yong and a number of new players.

Agus welcomed Shin's presence, who was previously widely known through his work with the Indonesian National Team. He hopes that the experience and winning spirit of the South Korean coach can give new energy to the Macan Kemayoran.

Interestingly, according to Agus, the philosophy of the game that Shin Tae-yong wants to build has similarities with the spirit of transformation that is currently being carried out by Bank Jakarta.

"Coach Shin wants Persija to move quickly, attack, have high mobility and play as a team. That spirit is also what we are building at Bank Jakarta: faster, more agile, more daring to seize opportunities, and the entire organization moves as one team. Hopefully this season is not only Persija who will rise in class, but also Bank Jakarta," said Agus.

Bank Jakarta hopes that the presence of new coaches and players can be an energy for Persija to achieve the best achievements in the 2026-2027 season.

Moreover, Jakarta is heading towards a historic momentum of five centuries in 2027.

"Of course all Jakmania have the same hope: Persija is the champion. If Persija can present the title on the momentum of five centuries of Jakarta, that would be a perfect gift for Jakarta," said Agus.

DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung also expressed the hope that the synergy between Bank Jakarta and Persija could have a positive impact while encouraging the achievements of the club that is the pride of the people of Jakarta.

"I hope Persija Jakarta can deliver the best achievement by winning the Indonesian Super League in the 2026-2027 season. This will be the most beautiful gift for the people of Jakarta and Jakmania in welcoming the five-hundredth anniversary of the City of Jakarta in 2027," said Pramono.

Persija Jakarta President Mohamad Prapanca welcomed the continuation of the collaboration.

"This continued support is a great motivation for management and the team to continue to improve performance, achieve the highest achievements, and provide the best experience for Jakmania," said Prapanca.

The momentum of United for Jakarta is also a marker of the next step in Bank Jakarta's transformation.

In conjunction with the kick-off of the collaboration with Persija, Bank Jakarta officially introduced bankjakarta.co.id as the company's new digital home, replacing the bankdki.co.id domain that has been known to the public.

The change not only represents a change in name and corporate identity, but also Bank Jakarta's spirit of building a digital experience that is increasingly modern, intuitive and customer-oriented.

"A new name deserves a new digital experience. We want the digital face of Bank Jakarta to reflect the bank we are building: fresher, more modern, more intuitive and more customer-centric," said Agus.

According to him, this change in approach is part of Bank Jakarta's efforts to move from a corporate website that primarily serves as an information channel to a digital experience that increasingly supports the customer journey.

Agus even invited the public and The Jakmania to try the new Bank Jakarta website directly through their mobile devices.

"Digital experience should be felt, not told. Explore it, try it, feel the difference. And if there is still something missing, tell us. Because transformation is not about saying that Bank Jakarta is perfect. Transformation is the courage to continue to get better," he said.

Agus emphasized that the collaboration with Persija and the update of the digital channel is part of a larger journey to improve the class of Bank Jakarta in line with Jakarta's transformation into a global city.

Changes in people's behavior, technological developments and increasing customer expectations, he said, require Bank Jakarta to continue to improve its capabilities and competitiveness.

"Jakarta is moving towards a global city. Therefore, banks that bear the name of Jakarta must also continue to improve their class. We want Bank Jakarta to be more modern, professional, digital, healthy and competitive, but still close to the community," said Agus.

He emphasized that the status as a bank owned by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is a strength, but it should not be the only reason for the public to use Bank Jakarta.

"We don't want people to choose Bank Jakarta just because we are a bank owned by Jakarta. We want to be chosen because it is worth choosing. That is the Bank Jakarta we are building," said Agus.

Through the spirit of United for Jakarta, Bank Jakarta hopes that the collaboration with Persija will become one of the bridges to get closer to the community while strengthening the relevance of Bank Jakarta in the urban life of the community.

And for Bank Jakarta:

New website. New experience. New spirit.

All of them carry the same spirit: bringing pride to Jakarta.
