JAKARTA - The State-Owned Enterprise Management Agency (BP) is preparing a roadmap for the red plate company's transformation for the next five years. In the first year, the main focus is directed at consolidation and restructuring, before continuing to strengthen human resources (HR), artificial intelligence (AI) based innovation, to encourage a number of SOEs to list on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).

Head of BP BUMN and Chief Operating Officer (COO) Danantara Dony Oskaria said the roadmap was compiled as a guide for the gradual transformation of SOEs so that they can increase competitiveness to a global level.

"So this first year, we were with the help of Mr. Purbaya, this year's theme is that all companies are consolidated. So consolidation and restructuring," said Dony after meeting with Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa at the Ministry of Finance Office, Jakarta, written Thursday, August 6.

According to Dony, after the consolidation and restructuring process is completed, BP BUMN will direct the transformation in human capital development and improvement of corporate culture and governance (people development and corporate culture).

The next phase, SOEs will be encouraged to strengthen innovation through the use of technology, including the application of artificial intelligence or artificial intelligence (AI) to increase business productivity and efficiency.

Entering its fourth year, the focus of transformation shifted to creating added value through partnership strategies and deepening the capital market. One of the steps prepared is to encourage more SOEs to conduct initial public offerings or initial public offerings (IPO).

"Later, because it is asked for growth materials, right? For economic growth later, IPOs will be many. So that in the capital market we also have more and more companies," he said.

Dony said that there were a number of SOEs that were considered to have adequate fundamentals and market capitalizations to list on the exchange. Some of them are PT Pegadaian (Persero), PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero), PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) or Pelindo, and PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (Persero).

"There are many good companies, which will soon IPO. For example, there is still Pegadaian, there is Pupuk Indonesia, there are many, there is Pelindo, there is Angkasa Pura, and there are many companies that are indeed good for us to IPO later," he said.

In the fifth year, BP BUMN will direct the state-owned enterprises to achieve higher performance targets at the international level.

"Then the last one will make it a higher potential target," said Dony.

Through this transformation phase, BP BUMN together with Danantara targets that Indonesian SOEs are able to compete in the global market, including increasing the number of national companies that are included in the Fortune 500 list.
