KSSK Reveals that the Stability of the Indonesian Financial System Remains Safe in the Second Quarter of 2026

JAKARTA - The Financial System Stability Committee (KSSK) stated that the stability of the Indonesian financial system in the second quarter of 2026 remained maintained.

This is based on the results of the KSSK Coordination Meeting which has been carried out by the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu), Bank Indonesia (BI), Financial Services Authority (OJK), and Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS).

Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa said the condition of the Financial System Stability (SSK) in the second quarter of 2026 remained maintained amid global economic uncertainty.

"The results of the KSSK assessment show that the fiscal, monetary, and financial sector conditions during the second quarter of 2026 remain maintained amid the renewed geopolitical conflict, supported by close coordination and synergy of policies between authorities," said Purbaya in a press conference of the Financial System Stability Committee (KSSK), Monday, August 3.

Purbaya explained that entering the second quarter of 2026, external pressures increased again as geopolitical conflicts escalated, high energy prices, global financial market volatility, and pressure on exchange rates and capital flows.

However, he added that the domestic economy still showed resilience, reflected in the continued solid economic growth and the resilience of the financial sector.

In the future, he said, with this development, external risks to macroeconomic stability and the financial system need to continue to be watched to maintain the momentum of high economic growth.

Purbaya said that the KSSK would continue to monitor and conduct forward-looking assessments on the current economic and financial sector performance in light of the increasing global economic uncertainty.

According to him, mitigation steps will also be carried out in a coordinated manner, both between KSSK members and with other related ministries and agencies.

"This is based on the third KSSK periodic meeting in 2026 which was held on Tuesday, July 28, 2026," he said.
