JAKARTA - Apindo will bring input from regional business actors in a national coordination meeting in Makassar. Apindo General Chair Shinta Widjaja Kamdani said the voice of the region was the key to reading the business world more fully.

Shinta conveyed this at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Friday, July 31, after meeting President Prabowo Subianto.

According to Shinta, Apindo does not see the security situation as the main factor that is disrupting the business world today. However, the business organization will still collect direct input from the region.

"It happens that if Apindo wants to have a Rakornas in Makassar, we will also get input from friends in the field in the region," said Shinta.

He said that regional input was important because business problems in the region were often related to national policies.

"Kita juga kuncinya di situ," ujarnya.

In a meeting with the President, said Shinta, a number of regional representatives also conveyed the conditions in their respective regions.

According to Shinta, the discussion is important because it is attended directly by the President and a number of ministers. That way, complaints or notes from the regions can be heard immediately by the government.

"Friends in the region also conveyed the situation in their region, in several regions. And the context is that if the region is also related to national policies," said Shinta.

Shinta assessed that the presence of ministers helped the discussion to be more direct. The President also paid attention to the input that emerged.

"It was good that the ministers were present, so the President immediately said, oh yes, this must be a concern," he said.

Apindo is scheduled to hold a Rakornas in Makassar. The forum will be a space to collect input from entrepreneurs from the region, especially regarding the field conditions and the impact of policies on business activities.
