PTP Nonpetikemas Performance Grows 20 Percent, Industrialization to Exports Boost Port Activities

JAKARTA - PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok (PTP) Nonpetikemas recorded a 20 percent growth in operational performance in Semester I-2026.

The Company assesses that the increase in downstream activities, infrastructure development, and exports is the main driver of the increased demand for non-container terminal services.

PTP Nonpetikemas President Director Indra Hidayat Sani said the company recorded a total throughput of 26,799,777 tons per m³ until June 2026.

This achievement reached 108 percent of the RKAP target and grew 20 percent compared to the same period last year.

"We continue to strive to optimize excellent services and strengthen the port system in improving the company's performance, which we then developed in comprehensive corporate communications as an expansion of information for port functions. Therefore, based on accurate data during the first semester of 2026, we found an increase in achievement compared to the same period last year," he said in an official statement, Thursday, July 30.

The performance was supported by an increase in general cargo flows to 6.64 million tons or grew 10.89 percent year-on-year.

Meanwhile, the liquid bulk flow reached 6.23 million tons or increased by 24.07 percent, while dry bulk increased by 25.74 percent to 12.57 million tons.

According to Indra, the business prospects of non-container terminals will be increasingly open in line with various government strategic programs that encourage the increase in national logistics activities.

"When the government encourages the downstreaming of minerals, food self-sufficiency, infrastructure development, and increased exports, the need for non-petrochemical terminals will increase. In line with this, we are here to encourage the regional economy," he said.

In addition to presenting performance achievements, PTP Nonpetikemas also emphasized the importance of public communication in strengthening public understanding of the role of ports as the main node of the national supply chain.

This is one of the focuses in the seminar which is also part of the Awarding of the PortPress 2026 Journalism Competition.
