Kalsel Governor Says RAPBD-P 2026 Has a Deficit of More than Rp2.7 Trillion

South Kalimantan (Kalsel) Governor H Muhidin revealed that the Regional Budget Revenue and Expenditure Change Plan (RAPBD-P) of the local province in 2026 experienced a deficit or a difference of less than Rp2.7 trillion.

He conveyed this at the plenary meeting of the council regarding the presentation of the 2026 RAPBD-P led by the Chairman of the South Kalimantan DPRD H Supian HK accompanied by the Deputy Chairman of the South Kalimantan DPRD H Kartoyo and Desy Oktavia Sari at the provincial council building in Banjarmasin City, Tuesday.

Muhidin explained that the posture of the 2026 Kalsel RAPBD-P was projected to have a regional income of Rp7.7 trillion.

Meanwhile, the plan for regional spending is IDR 10.5 trillion more. Until it experienced a deficit of IDR 2.7 trillion more.

"The difference or deficit will be covered by financing from the previous or 2025 fiscal year's Budget Surplus (SILPA)," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 28.

Regarding regional spending on the 2026 Kalsel RAPBD-P, Muhidin explained, partly to support the programs of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto such as the Free Nutritious Food (MBG) program, the Red and White Village Cooperative (KDMP) and the People's School.

"Indeed, the use of regional expenditure budgets based on performance in the 2026 APBD-P," said Muhidin.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the South Kalimantan DPRD H Supian HK stated that the discussion of the 2026 RAPBD-P was a marathon so that it could be completed quickly and sang a poem "fish shoes, cork fish, lily fish. The sooner, the better, don't be too slow".

In fact, according to him, after this plenary meeting, the Budget Agency (Banggar) of the South Kalimantan DPRD together with the executive discussed the introduction of the 2026 RAPBD-P.

"We will ensure that the discussion is carried out in the best possible way and with thoroughness, so that the 2026 APBD-P really benefits the people and the development of the region," he said.
