JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BRI will disburse the People's Business Loan (KUR) for Housing worth Rp880 billion to 7,100 recipients in the mass home subsidy agreement agenda which will be held in Batang, Central Java, on July 30, 2026.

This was conveyed by BRI Consumer Director Aris Hartanto in a meeting with BP Tapera Commissioner Heru Pudyo Nugroho, President Director of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Hery Gunardi and his staff as well as stakeholders in the housing sector in Jakarta, Monday, July 27.

According to Aris, the distribution is a form of BRI's commitment to supporting the government's program to strengthen the housing financing ecosystem.

"At the implementation of the mass contract, BRI will disburse a housing program loan worth Rp880 billion to around 7,100 debtors," he said as quoted from a written statement, Tuesday, July 28.

He explained that the Housing KUR provides wider access to financing for business actors in the housing sector and the community.

For loans under Rp100 million, the public is not required to provide collateral, so access to financing becomes easier.

Meanwhile, Minister of Housing and Spatial Planning (PKP) Maruarar Sirait (Ara) said that the distribution of the Housing KUR was part of the agenda of the mass agreement on subsidized houses which targeted at least 62,000 units of houses.

He added that the success of the mass akad was the result of collaboration between various parties, ranging from the Ministry of PKP, BP Tapera, PT Sarana Multigriya Finansial or SMF, banks, developers, local governments to related ministries and agencies.

"Thank you to the entire housing ecosystem that continues to work together to support various government programs, so that this activity can be carried out well," said Ara.

Ara also revealed that the high absorption of the Housing KUR has encouraged the government to increase the quota for the program from around Rp. 36 trillion to Rp. 50 trillion.

"Even though it hasn't been a year, the achievement of the Housing KUR is very high. Because the absorption is high, the quota is also increased to Rp. 50 trillion," he explained.

Furthermore, said Ara, more than 50 percent of the realization of the distribution of the Housing KUR so far comes from BRI.

Therefore, the government continues to strengthen synergies with BRI and other banks to expand access to financing for the housing sector.
