CGV Strengthens Family Entertainment Business through National Children's Day CSR Program

JAKARTA - CGV Cinemas Indonesia takes advantage of the momentum of National Children's Day 2026 to strengthen its position as a family entertainment destination through a corporate social responsibility (CSR) program entitled CGV Cares for Children.

The program, which was held in collaboration with Make-A-Wish Indonesia, was also part of the company's efforts to expand its involvement with the community amid the growth of the cinema industry.

CGV Cinemas Indonesia Chief Executive Officer Mark Nah said the company not only focuses on the film screening business, but also wants to provide an experience that can build closeness with Indonesian families.

"Through the CGV Cares for Children initiative, we want to bring a day full of happiness and meaningful experiences for children. We hope that CGV can continue to be a place of entertainment as well as a learning space that is beneficial for more Indonesian children," said Mar.

The program was attended by wish children, wish alumni, volunteers, and accompanying families. In addition to watching children's films in the SCREENX auditorium, participants took part in various interactive activities such as decorating bungeoppang and donuts.

Make-A-Wish Indonesia Founder and Chief Financial Officer Julienne Sunarjo said collaboration with the business world is important to provide a positive experience for children who are facing health challenges.

"We are grateful to CGV Indonesia and all partners who have presented a day full of laughter, togetherness, and beautiful memories for the Make-A-Wish Indonesia family," he said.

CGV currently operates 73 cinemas with 416 screens in more than 30 cities in Indonesia.

The network is the company's capital to strengthen the family entertainment segment as well as carry out social programs in various regions.
