Overall, in the period 2024-2025 IJD has handled 2,227 kilometers of roads and 2,917 meters of bridges spread across all provinces in Indonesia.

Minister PU Dody Hanggodo said that IJD is an effort by the government to strengthen the national supply chain through increased connectivity in the region.

According to him, the construction of roads and bridges will target to facilitate the distribution of agricultural products, increase logistics efficiency, and accelerate regional economic growth.

"The impact will be felt immediately on the ground, the time taken for distribution will be shorter, the cost of logistics transportation can be suppressed and the risk of crop damage during the journey can be minimized," said Dody as quoted from a written statement, Monday, July 6.

In 2024, the government allocated a budget of IDR 2.65 trillion to handle 304 kilometers of roads and 2,201 meters of bridges spread across 96 local governments, consisting of 12 provincial governments, 69 district governments, and 15 city governments.

Meanwhile, in fiscal year 2025-2026, the scale of the program implementation increased with a total budget of IDR 10.7 trillion, including supervision.

The budget is used to handle 1,923 kilometers of roads and 716 meters of bridges spread across 354 local governments, including 34 provincial governments, 294 district governments, and 26 city governments.

The government said that in 2026, there were still a number of IJD 2025 multiple year contract activities that were still in the construction process.

The project includes the handling of 772 kilometers of roads and 481 meters of bridges with a value of Rp5.0 trillion.

One of the implementation of IJD is carried out through the reconstruction of Sungai Gampa Road in Rantau Badauh District, Barito Kuala Regency, South Kalimantan Province.

With a budget of Rp. 2.7 billion, the PU Ministry reconstructed a 1.18 kilometer stretch of road that had previously suffered damage and a decline in pavement quality.

The PU Ministry assessed that the increase in the stability of the Sungai Gampa Road facilitated connectivity between Barito Kuala Regency and Banjarmasin City.

To continue the program, the Ministry of PU has proposed an additional budget of Rp. 12 trillion to support the strengthening of national connectivity through IJD.
