Support the Sustainable Principle in West Sulawesi, TASPEN Inaugurates the Mamuju Branch Office Building with an ESG Concept

JAKARTA - PT TASPEN (Persero) inaugurated the Mamuju Branch Office building as the first TASPEN Branch Office which carries the concept of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) on Wednesday, June 17.

The inauguration was attended by the Governor of West Sulawesi Suhardi Duka, President Director of PT TASPEN (Persero) Rony Hanityo Aprianto and the Board of Directors of PT TASPEN (Persero), Mamuju Regency Government officials, the West Sulawesi Provincial Coordinating Forum for Regional Leaders (FORKOPIMDA) and Mamuju Regency, heads of vertical government agencies, heads of OPD throughout West Sulawesi, heads of SOEs in West Sulawesi, and the Board of Directors of the TASPEN Group.

West Sulawesi Governor, Suhardi Duka, expressed his appreciation for the presence of the TASPEN Mamuju Branch Office which was considered not only representative in supporting services to TASPEN participants in West Sulawesi, but also reflecting commitment to the principle of sustainability. According to him, the existence of a Wastewater Treatment Facility (IPAL) facility in the building is an example of the implementation of responsible environmental management.

"This building has a Waste Water Treatment Plant (IPAL), so that the waste that is thrown away does not damage the environment. We really appreciate the existence of a building that can be an example of the implementation of the principle of sustainability in West Sulawesi," said Suhardi, in his statement, Thursday, June 25.

In addition, there are various supporting features that are adopted by prioritizing aspects of sustainability, accessibility, and operational efficiency. These facilities include the use of natural lighting, facilities that are friendly to people with disabilities, and biometric access technology based on facial recognition. Various innovations are presented to support the comfort and quality of services for 31,991 active participants and 16,082 retired participants in West Sulawesi, as well as reflecting TASPEN's commitment to strengthening the transformation of sustainable and needs-oriented services for participants.

President Director of PT TASPEN (Persero), Rony Hanityo Aprianto, said that this initiative is a step in TASPEN's transformation to better serve participants in the future.

"TASPEN is here to serve retirees and TASPEN participants in five districts in West Sulawesi," he explained.

Behind the modern facilities and comfortable working environment, the presence of this building marks the journey of recovery and strengthening of services in West Sulawesi. After facing various challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic and the earthquake that hit Mamuju and the surrounding area, the participants' need for easily accessible services remains a major concern. Through the provision of a post-disaster service post, TASPEN strives to ensure that services can still be accessed by participants.

The inauguration of the Mamuju Branch Office is a symbol of TASPEN's resilience and commitment in providing the best protection and services for ASN and retirees. In line with the company's transformation, TASPEN continues to strengthen its role as a Center of Excellence in the management of ASN social security and State Officials, as well as supporting the implementation of the President's Asta Cita of the Republic of Indonesia through improving the quality of public services, strengthening good governance, and inclusive and environmentally friendly development.
