JAKARTA - Chairman of the National Economic Council Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan said data from eight ministries and agencies has now been connected in one system. This integration is the basis of Government Technology or GovTech, an integrated digital system for government services and administration.

According to Luhut, the integration of the data will begin on June 1, 2026.

"For the first time throughout the independent Republic of Indonesia, data from eight ministries and agencies are one," said Luhut at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Tuesday (9/6).

Luhut said the data was being cleaned up with artificial intelligence or AI. This system will be used to improve public services, social assistance, taxes, to monitoring government programs.

He gave an example that facial recognition technology could help quickly check social assistance recipients.

GovTech is currently being tested in 42 regencies/cities. If it goes well, the government targets national implementation in October 2026 for 514 regencies/cities.

"Everything will be able to be monitored with this system," said Luhut.
