P2SK Law Revision Passed, Bank Indonesia Reveals Preparation of Implementation Rules

JAKARTA - Bank Indonesia (BI) stated its support for the enactment of the Draft Law (RUU) Amendment to Law Number 4 of 2023 concerning the Development and Strengthening of the Financial Sector (UU P2SK) which has been approved in the DPR RI Plenary Meeting on June 4, 2026.

Head of the Communication Department of Bank Indonesia Ramdan Denny Prakoso said that BI supports the entire process of discussing the revision of the P2SK Law which is carried out by the DPR RI together with the Government in accordance with the authority mandated in the law.

"In the process of formulating the revision of the P2SK Law, BI continues to coordinate and provide input to the Government," he said in a statement, Friday, June 5.

He added that after the revision of the P2SK Law was officially enacted, BI would prepare various implementation provisions in accordance with the regulatory mandate given to the central bank.

In addition, Ramdan conveyed that BI reiterated its commitment to continue to strengthen the mix of policies and increase synergy with the Government, the House of Representatives, and various other stakeholders to maintain the stability of the national economy and also encourage sustainable economic growth.
