The Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) has officially approved the Draft Law (RUU) amendment to Law Number 4 of 2023 concerning the Development and Strengthening of the Financial Sector (P2SK) to be enacted into law.

On the same occasion, Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa expressed his appreciation for the DPR's approval of the revision of the P2SK Law, and assessed that the regulation would be an important foundation in strengthening the national financial sector.

Purbaya also said that the process of drafting the bill was carried out through intensive discussions between the government and the DPR, resulting in various improvements to strengthen the substance of the rules while adjusting them to the needs of the national financial sector.
"The financial sector reform that has been initiated by the P2SK Law needs to be accelerated to realize Indonesia's development aspirations," he said.
Based on the results of the drafting team and the synchronization team, the final draft of the P2SK bill consists of two Roman articles and 105 points of change which include revisions to nine laws in the financial sector.
