Jasa Marga Urges Drivers to Set Travel Time to Prevent Congestion at the End of the Iduladha Long Holiday

JAKARTA - PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek (JJC) as the manager of the Mohamed Bin Zayed (MBZ) Route asks drivers to arrange travel time to prevent vehicle congestion at the momentum leading up to the end of the long Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah holiday.

"It is urged that road users be able to arrange travel time considering the high volume of vehicles passing, especially towards the end of the long holiday," said GM Operations and Maintenance of PT. JJC Desti Anggraeni in Bekasi, quoted by Antara, Saturday, May 30.

His party projects that the surge in vehicles will continue until early next week as the long holiday period ends towards normal activities, including on the MBZ Flyover Road.

According to him, the timing of travel is important to avoid traffic congestion, which is predicted to peak this weekend until Monday next week.

Drivers are also asked to always prioritize safety by preparing themselves before traveling and ensuring that the condition of the vehicle and the driver are in good condition.

In addition, pay attention to the adequacy of fuel or vehicle electricity and comply with traffic signs and instructions from officers, especially when there is traffic congestion.

Desti said the surge in vehicles from Jakarta to Cikampek via the MBZ Route is still taking place from H-1 to H+1 of the 2026 Eid al-Adha holiday with a total of 104,108 units or an increase of 56.72 percent compared to normal conditions, namely 66,429 vehicles.

"Meanwhile, on H+1 or Thursday, May 28, it was recorded that 27,723 vehicles left Jakarta for the east or increased by 17.53 percent from the normal traffic of 23,588 vehicles," he said.

The same condition was experienced in the opposite direction with a total of 31,754 vehicles heading to Jakarta from the Cikampek direction or an increase of 45.46 percent from the normal daily condition of 21,830 vehicles.

Overall, from H-1 to H+1, a total of 77,187 vehicles were observed to have returned to Jakarta via the MBZ Flyover or an increase of 18.27 percent from the normal condition of 65,264 vehicles, indicating that the return flow of Eid al-Adha has begun to appear.
