JAKARTA - PT Indonesia Weda Bay Industrial Park (IWIP) commemorates International Labor Day by awarding the 519 best employees of 2026 through the IWIP Award 2026 event which was held on May 1, 2026 at the Weda Bay Industrial Park Industrial Area. This award is given as a form of IWIP's appreciation for the dedication, hard work, and commitment of employees during 2025.
This year, the award was given to 519 employees, consisting of 465 male workers and 54 female workers. Compared to the previous year, the number of Best Employee award recipients increased by 43 people. In addition, there are 8 employees who have won similar awards this year.
General Manager of Human Resources and Development (HRD) of IWIP, Roslina Sangaji, said that Labor Day is an opportunity to look back on the contribution of workers in building and developing companies, industries, and the nation's economy.
"The IWIP Award 2026 is more than just an annual activity, but it is a valuable moment where every employee is valued and appreciated, because behind the current IWIP achievements, there is extraordinary hard work and commitment from all employees," said Roslina, Friday, May 1.
He added that the achievement of IWIP could not be separated from the role of all employees who are involved in the daily operational process.
"Today is our day, a day to appreciate every effort and extraordinary work we have done," he added.
"We also express our appreciation to all trade unions who have become strategic partners of the company in building open communication, maintaining a balance of rights and obligations, and creating harmonious, fair, and productive industrial relations," said Roslina.
IWIP also expressed its appreciation to the central government, North Maluku Province, Central Halmahera Regency and East Halmahera Regency, as well as village governments around the industrial area for their continued support and collaboration.
The 2026 Labor Day commemoration was also attended by the Governor of North Maluku Sherly Tjoanda, Regent of Central Halmahera Ikram M.
