JAKARTA - BPJS Employment Branch Office Plaza BPJamsostek continues to be committed to expanding the reach of employment social security protection through literacy strengthening in the Rukun Tetangga (RT) and Rukun Warga (RW) ecosystems. This step aims to ensure that all workers, especially in the informal sector, get equal protection rights.

This effort is realized through a series of socialization of the Non-Wage Recipient (BPU) Program which targets RT/RW managers and Dasa Wisma (Dawis) cadres in various strategic areas. One of the areas that has carried out this collaboration activity is the environment of RW 05 Menteng Atas Village.

Head of BPJS Employment Plaza BPJamsostek, Ramdani, emphasized the importance of the role of the regional manager as a bridge of information for residents regarding social security benefits.

"We prioritize collaboration with the RT, RW, and Dawis ranks as a driving force to increase public awareness. Through strengthening in the RT/RW ecosystem, as has been running in the Menteng Atas RW 05 area, we want to ensure that information about the importance of social security reaches directly to the hands of independent workers such as traders, motorcycle drivers, to household assistants," said Ramdani, in his statement, Thursday, April 23.

Ramdani added that this protection is a form of the state's presence in mitigating economic risks that may arise due to accidents at work or death.

"Our hope is that more RT/RW areas will be actively involved in this movement, so that a social safety net can be created comprehensively for all working citizens," he added.

As a concrete step, the BPJS Manpower team at BPJamsostek Plaza together with the Dasawisma cadres will continue to recapitulate the data of residents in the areas that have been socialized to facilitate the registration process. This initiative is expected to be able to accelerate the achievement of universal social security coverage in the Jakarta region.
