JAKARTA - The Head of the Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) Basuki Hadimuljono stated that the construction of the Legislative and Judicial complex in Nusantara remains a priority, so that currently the work continues and is targeted to be completed by the end of 2027 to early 2028.

"The construction of the Legislative and Judicial Complex in the Capital of Nusantara (IKN) continues in accordance with President Prabowo Subianto's instructions, with a target for completion in 2027-2028," said Basuki Hadimuljono in Nusantara, quoted by Antara, Monday, April 13.

Projects in the area include the construction of several main buildings at state institutions as well as supporting infrastructure and roads to the complex area.

In the legislative area, the construction is planned to include five main buildings, namely the Paripurna Building, the DPR Building, the DPD Building, and the MPR Building.

For the Paripurna Building, it will become a center of activities with a capacity of up to 1,579 people. Currently, the design refinement process is awaiting approval from President Prabowo.

In addition, the construction of a 3.7 km long road area is also being prepared to support connectivity between one building and another building in the complex with the initial stage of work being land clearing.

Meanwhile, for the development of the judicial area is divided into two work packages. The first package includes the construction of the Supreme Court Building along with supporting areas and the Justice Plaza.

Meanwhile, the second package includes the construction of the Constitutional Court Building, a judicial area, and a mosque. All of these areas will be equipped with the construction of a 8 km long area road.

Basuki Hadimuljono again emphasized that the development of the two areas remains a priority despite the current budget efficiency policy.

"The construction of the judicial and legislative complex is not included in the efficiency. Construction continues, so there is no need to hesitate," he said during a review of the construction site in the area.

He also said that the strengthening of water infrastructure was also carried out through the construction of ponds and retention ponds, including the EC-08 pond and the TR01 retention pond.

"The drinking water piping network is currently still in the process of work and will be integrated through the Multi-Utility Tunnel (MUT) to support the IKN Central Government Core Area (KIPP)," said Basuki.
