According to Agus, this condition is a great opportunity for Indonesia to expand the market share of halal products at the global level.
He also believes that with the strength of the manufacturing industry sector and the support of large natural resources and human resources, Indonesia has the potential to become a major player in the global halal industry supply chain.
The former Social Minister assessed that the halal industry no longer plays a role in supplying the religious needs of the community. More than that, Agus said, the halal industry opens up high-value economic opportunities and is able to make a major contribution to the growth of the manufacturing industry and the national economy.
Agus said that public awareness of halal products is not only related to the aspect of halal in terms of sharia. However, halal products are increasingly associated with quality assurance and product safety.
