JAKARTA - The Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) of the Ministry of Public Works (PU) said that the Palembang-Betung Toll Road is ready to be opened functionally, alias without tariffs during the 2026 Lebaran homecoming.

Citing information shared by the BPJT management on its official Instagram account @pupr_bpjt, Tuesday, February 24, in order to support community mobility during the Idulfitri period 1447 Hijriah, the Palembang-Betung Toll Road along approximately 53.2 kilometers for Route A and Route B (two directions) will be operated functionally without tariffs.

"The Lebaran functional line starts from KM 42+500 to KM 95+700 Line A & Line B. The functional line includes Sections 1 to 4," explained BPJT.

In detail, the toll road has five sections. Among others, Section 1 Segment Kramasan-Gandus with a progress of 92 percent, Section 2 Segment Gandus-Sungai Rengas which has the same progress as Section 1.

Then, Section 3 of the Rengas River - Pulo Rimo Segment and Section 4 of the Pulo Rimo - Pangkalan Balai Segment with the same construction progress, namely 90 percent. For Section 5 of the Pangkalan Balai - Betung Segment, the progress has now reached 47 percent.

The entry and exit lanes on the Palembang-Betung Toll Road are regulated as follows:

a) Palembang-Betung (Line A) From Lampung/Palembang enter through the Temporary Barrier Gate at KM 41+700; Other access is the Musi Landas Junction (SS) at KM 65+000. b) Betung-Palembang (Line B) Enter via the Pulau Rimau Provincial Road at KM 95+700; Other access is the Musi Landas Junction (SS) at KM 65+000.

2. Exit lane

a) Palembang-Betung (Route A) Exit via SS Musi Landas KM 65+000; Exit via Provincial Road of Pulau Rimau at KM 95+700. b) Betung-Palembang (Route B) Exit via SS Musi Landas KM 65+000; Exit via Temporary Barrier Gate at KM 41+700. "The operational scheme of the functional lane will be implemented at the discretion of the police," he explained.

As a form of support for smooth operations, PT Hutama Karya (Persero) as the toll road manager has prepared three aspects. First, the Temporary Barrier Gate at. 41+700 as a tapping point for e-toll card users. Second, Rest and Service (TIP) or rest area at KM 71+000 Route A and B.

Third, Hutama Karya has prepared operational vehicle units and standby personnel to support the smooth running of the toll road.
