Bima - The construction of the Bima City Regional General Hospital (RSUD) in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) which was carried out by PT Hutama Karya (Persero) or HK has been completed and is ready to provide priority services for cancer, heart, stroke and urology (KJSU).

The presence of this facility allows patients to get faster treatment without having to be referred to outside the area.

Previously, patients from Bima City, Bima Regency and Dompu Regency had to travel by land for about 10-12 hours to the NTB Hospital in Mataram to obtain these specialist services.

Meanwhile, the City Hospital of Bumi which was built by HK has been completed by the end of December 2025 with a physical progress of 100 percent.

Bima City Hospital was built as part of the Fast Best Result Program (PHTC) for the upgrading of hospital classes and the equalization of health services in the eastern NTB region.

The main building of the hospital consists of three floors with a building area of 6,327 square meters.

Facilities available include emergency installations, specialist polyclinics, operating rooms with cath lab technology, ICU, NICU, PICU, radiology, pharmacy, medical rehabilitation and cytotoxic rooms for cancer services.

In addition, the construction of an additional inpatient building with a capacity of 100 beds is being carried out by local service providers at the upper structure stage. Currently, a 360-day building maintenance period is also being carried out.

Executive Vice President (EVP) Corporate Secretary of Hutama Karya Mardiansyah said that the completion of Bima City Hospital was the company's commitment to providing modern health facilities in remote areas.

"The completion of Bima City Hospital is a manifestation of our commitment to provide modern health facilities in remote areas, ensuring that people in eastern NTB get quality KJSU services without having to travel far," said Mardiansyah as quoted from an official statement, Friday, February 20.

In its implementation, the project uses 3D-5D Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology to detect potential design collisions, batching plants at the project site to maintain concrete supplies, and early procurement of imported materials to maintain construction timeliness.

Quality control is carried out through independent laboratory testing of concrete and reinforcing steel, the application of QHSS standards, and a work safety system that includes daily toolbox meetings, work permits, and the use of personal protective equipment.

The presence of Bima City Hospital is expected to change the pattern of medical referrals in the eastern NTB region by accelerating access to specialist health services while increasing health service capacity in the region.
