JAKARTA - The Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) is predicted to consolidate in today's trading, Tuesday, February 10, as investors tend to wait and see the market's continued sentiment. Phintraco Sekuritas in its research said that today's JCI will move in the resistance area of 8,100, pivot 8,050, and support 8,000.
Phintraco Sekuritas explained that the JCI closed yesterday with a gain of 1.22 percent to the level of 8,031.87. After weakening at the beginning of the trading due to negative sentiment from the decline in the outlook for the ratings of several issuers, the JCI managed to turn around to strengthen.
According to Phintraco Securities, positive factors include strengthening the Asian stock index yesterday. The continued strengthening of gold, silver and copper prices is also a positive sentiment. The rupiah also closed at a stronger level of Rp. 16,805 per US dollar in the spot market, supported by the strengthening of most Asian currencies against the US Dollar.
Technically, continued Phintraco Sekuritas, there was a narrowing of the negative histogram of the JCI MACD and Stochastic RSI indicating a reversal in the oversold area. However, the volume tends to be relatively low, because it is estimated that investors still tend to wait and see.
"Thus, today's JCI is predicted to tend to consolidate in the range of 8,000-8,100," wrote Phintraco Sekuritas.
Phintraco Sekuritas said that the Indonesian consumer confidence index increased to 127 in January 2026 from 123.5 in December 2025 released yesterday. This is the highest level since January 2025 and this increase is driven by an increase in almost six major sub-indices.
Meanwhile, Phintraco Sekuritas added that motorcycle sales grew 3.1 percent YoY to 577,763 units in January 2026. This level is the highest in the last three months, after a sharp decline of 14.5 percent in December 2025.
"Today, investors will look at the December 2025 retail sales data, which is expected to slow to 5.5 percent from 6.3 percent in November 2025," added Phintraco Sekuritas.
Not only that, Phintraco Sekuritas said, investors are also waiting for the BEI's follow-up technical meeting with MSCI which is scheduled for Wednesday, February 11, which is a follow-up to the February 2 and 5 meetings.
"BEI together with SRO will submit several initiatives to MSCI in line with 8 action plans to accelerate the reform of the integrity of the Indonesian capital market which is targeted to be completed in April," said Phintraco Securities.
Phintraco Sekuritas recommends five stocks today, namely ANTM, JSMR, MDKA, PWON and ISAT.
