JATAKE - The Jatake Station, located in Jatake Village, Pagedangan District, Tangerang Regency, Banten, officially operates starting today.

This inauguration marks the presence of a new transportation node on the Tanah Abang-Rangkasbitung crossing to support the mobility of urban residents.

The station was inaugurated directly by the Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Dudy Purwagandhi on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.

"Jatake Station was built to meet the needs of the growing community mobility and the increasing public transportation needs along with the development of the Serpong, BSD, and surrounding areas," said Dudy in an official statement, Wednesday, January 28.

Dudy hopes that the presence of Jatake Station can reduce the burden on Rawabuntu and Cisauk Stations, which have experienced a daily passenger surge. Currently, the capacity of the Jatake Station service can serve up to 20,000 passengers per day.

The construction of Jatake Station is carried out through a collaboration scheme between the government, SOEs, local governments, and private business entities without using the State Budget (APBN) funds. This project is financed through cooperation between PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) and PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk.

"I express my appreciation to all parties who have contributed so that the construction of Jatake Station can be realized without using APBN funds, through a healthy and mutually reinforcing collaboration scheme," said Dudy.

According to Dudy, the inauguration of the Jatake Station is in line with the national policy to strengthen railways as the backbone of community mobility.

The government continues to encourage a shift from the use of private vehicles to mass transit to reduce congestion and reduce emissions.

"This station is expected to increase accessibility, facilitate community movement, and encourage local economic growth in Tangerang Regency and its surroundings," said Dudy.
