JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works (PU) revealed that the economic benefits from the toll rate discount program during the 2025 Christmas and New Year 2026 (Nataru 2025/2026) holidays amounted to more than IDR 11 billion.
Deputy Minister of PU Diana Kusumastuti said that the tariff reduction had been received by 4.3 million road users during the period.
"If we total the value of economic benefits received by road users in the Jabodetabek area, then the Non-Trans road, the Trans Java Toll Road, this total value of benefits is Rp. 11,934,316,250," said Diana in a Working Meeting (Raker) with Commission V of the DPR RI at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, January 20.
Diana explained that there were 26 toll roads that participated in the tariff discount program. The amount of the tariff set by the Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT) itself ranges from 10-20 percent.
The discount rate is applied for three days, namely on December 22, 23 and 31. For the toll road in the city, Diana said, the value of the discount rate benefit reached IDR 192 million in that period.
"In the Jabodetabek area, there are six toll roads in the city of Jakarta, Kelapa Gading-Pulo Gebang sections, which provide a discount on tariffs for 43,000 (road users) with an estimated benefit of IDR 192,126,000," he said.
He added, currently there are 76 toll road networks operating in Indonesia. The length of the toll road currently reaches 3,115.981 kilometers (km) which is managed by 54 BUJT.
"In total, there were 3,239,277 vehicles that traveled out of Jakarta. This traffic increased by 2.03 percent compared to the 2024/2025 Christmas period," he explained.
