JAKARTA - PT PLN Unit Distribution of North Sumatra ensures the fulfillment of electricity energy for temporary housing (huntara) to meet the needs of people in Batu Hula Village, Batang Toru District, South Tapanuli Regency.

PLN North Sumatra recorded 144 units of huntara and four units of public kitchens in the construction process.

The government together with the TNI, Polri, and other related institutions targets the construction of up to 267 housing units to accommodate disaster-affected people in a decent and safe manner.

"Electric energy is the main enabler of recovery, supporting household activities, health services, emergency education, to strengthening social cohesion in the huntara environment," he said.

Furthermore, Mundhakir added that the presence of PLN in the post-disaster transition phase is a form of social responsibility and the mandate of the state in ensuring basic services for the community.
