State Control Strengthens, 12 SOEs Submit Series B Shares to BP BUMN

JAKARTA - The wave of the transfer of state-owned shares from PT Danantara Asset Management (Persero) or DAM to the State-Owned Enterprises Regulation Agency (BP BUMN) is getting wider.

Until the beginning of January, 12 state-owned enterprises have officially transferred part of the Series B shares to BP BUMN.

The 12 SOEs consist of 4 Bank Negara Association (Himbara), 4 SOEs, 2 SOEs, 1 SOEs toll road operator, and 1 SOEs in the telecommunications sector.

This step is a follow-up to the mandate of Law Number 16 of 2025, as the fourth amendment to Law Number 19 of 2003 concerning SOEs, which requires the state through the SOE BP to hold a minimum 1 percent ownership of Series A Dual Color shares in each strategic SOE.

Bank Himbara

Launching from the disclosure of information from the Indonesia Stock Exchange, Thursday, January 8, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BRI transferred 0.53 percent of Series B shares owned by PT DAM or equivalent to 806,109,768 to BP BUMN.

Then, PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI transferred the Series B shares owned by DAM to BP BUMN of 223,783,877 shares or equivalent to 0.6 percent of all shares that have been issued and fully paid by the Company.

Meanwhile, PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk transferred 0.52 percent of its Series B shares owned by PT DAM to BP BUMN. This figure is equivalent to 485,333,332 shares of Series B.

Meanwhile, PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk or BTN transferred 0.6 percent of its Series B shares owned by PT DAM or equivalent to 84,206,665 shares to BP BUMN.

BUMN Karya

In addition to Himbara, four other BUMN works also carried out a share transfer from Danantara to BP BUMN. The details, PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk (WSKT) transferred 0.75 percent of Series B shares owned by PT DAM or equivalent to 217,056,33 shares to BP BUMN.

Then, PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk or WIKA transferred the Series B shares owned by PT DAM to BP BUMN, with a percentage of 0.91 percent or equivalent to 362,917,027 shares.

Furthermore, PT Pembangunan Perumahan (Persero) Tbk (PTPP) also transferred 0.51 percent of Series B shares owned by PT DAM to BP BUMN, or equivalent to 31,619,477 shares.

Meanwhile, PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk or ADHI transferred Series B shares, namely 0.64 percent from previously owned by PT DAM, or equivalent to 54,087,737 shares.

Semen Indonesia and Krakatau Steel

In the manufacturing industry, two large state-owned enterprises (BUMN) also transferred their share ownership. The details, Semen Indonesia (SMGR) released 34,570,229 shares (0.51 percent). Then,

Krakatau Steel (KRAS) transferred 154,771,174 shares of Series B (0.99 percent).

Both of them emphasized that the transfer also changed the related shares into Series A Dwiwarna which is controlled by BP BUMN.

Jasa Marga and Telkom

In other sectors, two state-owned enterprises also announced similar steps, namely Jasa Marga (JSMR) which transferred 50,805,097 shares (0.99 percent).

Then, Telkom Indonesia (TLKM) moved 0.52 percent, equivalent to 516,023,535 shares.

With Telkom's move, BP BUMN now holds 1 piece of Series A Double Color plus 516 million Series B shares, while DAM still holds 51,086,330,024 shares of Series B shares of PT Telkom Indonesia.
