JAKARTA - Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) Maman Abdurrahman launched the Bangkit UMKM Clinic during a visit to Aceh Tamiang.

Maman said that this UMKM Clinic is a central complaint and business assistance center for UMKM affected by disasters in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.

Aman explained that the Bangkit UMKM Clinic was formed to accelerate the economic recovery of UMKM affected by disasters for a maximum period of one year, through the mapping phase which will last until March 2026.

"Commanded by the local government, this clinic is tasked with handling financing services by ensuring that UMKM affected by disasters who are registered and have credit obligations at banks get loan relaxation and business capital adequacy," said Maman, quoted on Thursday, January 1.

He explained that the UMKM Bangkit Clinic also functioned as a shopping center for local products made by MSMEs from Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra. These products will be marketed within and outside the province so that they can revive local MSMEs while meeting the needs of the community. This step is believed to be able to restart the economy in disaster-affected areas.

In addition, the clinic will provide production services so that UMKM whose business has stopped can continue their business activities. Production equipment according to needs will be facilitated through this service.

"We are making this clinic to map and find solutions so that MSMEs in three provinces, especially in Aceh Tamiang, can live and rise again," said Maman.

Maman also appealed to the public, especially MSMEs affected by disasters, to prioritize household and environmental management first, without being too burdened by business debt issues.

"The Ministry of MSME together with the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy, the Ministry of Finance, and OJK are preparing a set of rules and policies so that MSMEs with credit obligations at banks can obtain relaxation and relief," he said.

The UMKM Bangkit clinic will stand in eight points in three provinces. In Aceh, the clinics are in Banda Aceh, Pidie, North Aceh, Aceh Tamiang, and Pidie Jaya. In North Sumatra, the clinics are in Medan and Tapanuli Tengah, while in West Sumatra are in Padang. These locations were chosen by considering the location of the region and the number of personnel. However, each clinic will serve all UMKM in the surrounding affected areas.

"I ask that this Bangkit UMKM Clinic be made a house where UMKM in Aceh Tamiang gather. Make this clinic a place to find solutions. Insyaallah the tools have been prepared until Aceh's economy recovers and returns to normal," said Maman.
