JAKARTA - PT Ajinomoto Indonesia (Ajinomoto) has joined hands to provide humanitarian support for survivors of flash floods and landslides in Sumatra.
Through collaboration with the National Zakat Agency (Baznas), Ajinomoto distributes Masako, Saori, Ajinomoto MSG products, as well as donations for the procurement of food ingredients in public kitchens serving refugees in Meureudu - Aceh, Koto Tengah - Padang, and South Angkola - North Sumatra.
This communal kitchen ensures that refugees continue to receive safe and decent food during the recovery period. The assistance was handed directly by the Regional Sales Manager of PT Ajinomoto Sales Indonesia in the disaster-affected areas to the Baznas Disaster Response (BTB) team to be distributed to the community in the affected areas.
The Head of the Collection of the Indonesian National Baznas, Rizaludin Kurniawan, appreciated this collaboration.
"We are grateful for the trust given to Baznas to distribute assistance. This cooperation proves that mutual concern can ease the burden of survivors. We hope that this step will inspire more parties to help people who are struggling to recover their lives," said Rizaludin.
Ajinomoto also ensures that all assistance is distributed appropriately through intensive coordination with the Baznas field team.
This approach is carried out so that every support, whether it is food products, assistance funds, or public kitchen operations, really answers the needs of the community in the post-disaster recovery phase.
"Through this assistance, we want to provide support to the community while in the refugee camp so that they can continue to get nutritious food so that nutritional intake is maintained until they can return to their respective homes," said Estu.
