JAKARTA - The state-owned holding company for the aviation and tourism sector, PT Aviasi Pariwisata Indonesia (Persero) or InJourney, ensures that all airports managed by PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports) are ready to operate 24 hours to anticipate a surge in flight traffic during the 2025 Christmas and New Year (Nataru) transportation period.

InJourney's President Director, Maya Watono, said the readiness was carried out to ensure the smooth running of flight services as well as to improve the quality of service to passengers, most of whom travel with their families during the year-end holidays.

"Meanwhile, in terms of airport operations, all airports are on alert 24 hours a day to meet the needs of airlines. This is done to ensure the availability of flight services for the public," Maya said in an official statement, Thursday, December 18.

In addition to operational readiness, InJourney also prepares various programs to improve passenger experience at the airport terminal. This effort is carried out so that the atmosphere of the holiday can be felt from the moment you are at the airport.

"In terms of service, we present various customer experience programs and equip the passenger terminal with ornaments to provide the best travel experience so that families can feel the holiday from the airport, before arriving at the destination or tourist destination," said Maya.

Meanwhile, InJourney Airports President Director Mohammad R. Pahlevi said that during the Nataru period which took place on December 15, 2025 to January 4, 2026, the number of aircraft passengers through 37 InJourney Airports airports is projected to reach 10.5 million people.

Pahlevi said that the number of passengers increased by 4.1 percent compared to the same period last year.

"All airports have been prepared to anticipate an increase in aircraft passenger movements. The peak flow before Christmas is estimated to occur on December 20 and 21, 2025 with around 590,000 passengers per day," explained Pahlevi.

Meanwhile, the peak of the flow after New Year 2026 is estimated to occur on January 3 with around 560,000 passengers, and January 4 with around 522,000 passengers.

Especially for Soekarno-Hatta Airport, the number of passengers in the 2025/2026 Nataru period is projected to reach around 3 million passengers or an increase of 3.3 percent compared to the previous period.

Meanwhile, I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali, is expected to serve 1.36 million passengers or grow significantly by 13.3 percent, driven by an increase in international routes since the beginning of 2025.

To support the government's policy in providing transportation stimulus during the year-end holidays, InJourney Airports also provides a 50 percent discount on air transport services.

"The government has a policy of discounted transportation fares during the Nataru holiday period, and InJourney Airports follows up on this by providing a 50 percent discount for PJP2U and PJP4U," said Pahlevi.

For information, the air passenger service tariff (PJP2U) discount applies to regular domestic flights and extra flights with ticket purchases from October 22, 2025 to January 10, 2026, and departure on December 22, 2025 to January 10, 2026.

Meanwhile, the tariff reduction for Aircraft Landing, Placement, and Storage Services (PJP4U) applies to all national airlines in the same period.
