OJK Records Insurance Industry Assets Reach IDR 1,192 Trillion

JAKARTA - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) noted that as of October 2025, Indonesia's insurance industry assets reached IDR 1,192.11 trillion, an increase of 5.16 percent compared to the previous year or year on year (yoy).

"As of October 2025, industrial assets reached IDR 1,192.11 trillion, an increase of 5.16 percent year on year," said Ogi Prastomiyon, Chief Executive of Insurance, Guarantee and OJK Pension Fund, Thursday, December 11.

Ogi added, in terms of commercial insurance, total assets were recorded at IDR 970.98 trillion or recorded a 6.23 percent yoy growth.

Meanwhile, commercial insurance performance in the form of premium income accumulation in the period January to October 2025 was recorded at IDR 272.78 trillion or grew 0.42 percent yoy.

He detailed that this amount consisted of a life insurance premium which contracted by 1.11 percent yoy with a value of Rp. 148.86 trillion, and a premium for general insurance and reinsurance grew by 2.33 percent year on year with a value of Rp. 123.92 trillion.

"Overall, the capital of the commercial insurance industry still shows solid conditions, with the life insurance industry as well as general insurance and reinsurance in aggregate reporting Risk Based Capital or RBC of 478.85 percent and 331.96 percent respectively still above the threshold of 120 percent," continued Ogi.

Furthermore, for non-commercial insurance consisting of BPJS Kesehatan and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, as well as ASN, TNI, and Polri insurance programs related to the Job Accident Insurance and Death Security program, total assets were recorded at IDR 221.13 trillion or grew by 0.72 percent yoy.

Then for the pension fund industry, total assets as of October 2025 were recorded to grow by 9.82 percent year on year with a value of Rp1,647.49 trillion.

Untuk program pensiun sukarela, total aset mencatatkan pertumbuhan sebesar 5,52 persen yoy dengan nilai mencapai Rp400,44 triliun.

Sementara program pensiun wajib, total aset mencapai Rp1.247,05 triliun, tumbuh sebesar 11,28 persen yoy.

"Selanjutnya pada perusahaan penjaminan, per Oktober 2025 nilai aset tercatat tumbuh 3,17 persen yoy menjadi Rp48,02 triliun," tandas Ogi.

For the voluntary retirement program, total assets recorded growth of 5.52 percent yoy with a value of IDR 400.44 trillion.

While the mandatory pension program, total assets reached IDR 1,247.05 trillion, growing by 11.28 percent yoy.

"Furthermore, in the guarantee company, as of October 2025, the asset value was recorded to have grown 3.17 percent yoy to Rp48.02 trillion," said Ogi.
