PT Pertamina (Persero) reported that as of December 4, 2025, as many as 696 Public Fuel Filling Stations (SPBU) or 96 percent of the total 727 gas stations in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra had operated to distribute fuel to the community.

In fact, several gas stations have extended service hours for up to 24 hours to meet fuel needs, especially in affected areas with high demand levels.

Area Manager Communication, Relations & CSR Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut, Fahrougi Andriani Sumampouw said, Pertamina has alerted a special team in the field to ensure that all operational facilities and distribution chains continue to run well and respond quickly to potential obstacles at vulnerable points.

"Various efforts have been made to serve people who are still constrained by cut road access," said Fahrougi, Friday, December 5.

He added that in Aceh, Pertamina transferred fuel supply from Krueng Raya Terminal to serve gas stations in the Pidie Jaya, Pidie, and Bireuen areas which were previously supplied from the Lhokseumawe Integrated Terminal (IT).

In addition, Pertamina has also prepared alternative and emergency supplies from several terminals, namely Fuel Terminal (FT) Medan, FT Lhokseumawe, IT Dumai, FT Siantar, and FT Kisaran, which are activated when bad weather occurs in Medan.

Pertamina also added a fleet of tankers from Dumai to strengthen fuel distribution to the south and north of Sibolga, including South Tapanuli, Padangsidimpuan City, Mandailing Natal, North Padang Lawas Regency, Padang Lawas, Central Tapanuli, Sibolga City, and North Tapanuli.

To meet LPG needs, Pertamina maintains stock and distribution in safe conditions. Currently, 574 LPG Agents and 71 Elpiji Bulk Filling Stations (SPBE) are operating to distribute LPG to households, businesses and industries. The LPG distribution continues to be optimized to reach locations where land access is still limited.

Pertamina has accelerated the distribution of LPG to areas where access is still hampered. Emergency supplies are carried out by sending LPG from Bayur Bay using a Skid Tank by sea to Gunung Sitoli. In addition, Pertamina has also prepared alternative and emergency supplies through the assistance of Skid Tanks from IT Dumai to SPBE in North Sumatra.

With the condition of Sibolga and Central Tapanuli still isolated, Pertamina carried out mitigation by distributing emergency supplies to Mount Sitoli from Kabung Bay by ship, as well as distributing emergency supplies to Sibolga from Sitoli SPBE by sea.

Most LPG distribution facilities have operated normally in distributing LPG to bases and the community. Pertamina continues to carry out daily monitoring to anticipate increasing needs in the midst of emergency situations," added Faharugi.

Pertamina also continues to coordinate with local governments, officials, and the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) to ensure that the flow of energy distribution to affected areas is not disrupted.

"In a disaster situation, the community's energy needs are our priority. Pertamina ensures that services and supplies remain available and provides full support for efforts to overcome and restore affected areas," said Fahrougi.
