A Total Of 406,457 Houses Will Be Renovated Through The BSPS Program Starting April 2026

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) will dissect the house through the Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance (BSPS) program in March-April 2026.

The program targets 406,457 housing units.

PKP Minister Maruarar Sirait or Ara said a budget of IDR 8.90 trillion had been allocated for the BSPS program.

The BSPS target next year is 400,000 housing units in coastal, urban and rural areas.

"Please also help with the budget process with the Ministry of Finance, yes, because it can go fast. We can immediately run (on) March (or) April (2026)," said Ara in a Working Meeting with Commission V DPR RI at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, 4 December.

Ara said that next year's BSPS Program will not be run in one round. Later, the program implementation will be divided into two rounds.

"There will be one more round maybe August-September. Can you do that, friends? For two stages. It means two rounds, first around April," he said.

Based on the material of the presentation, the achievement of BSPS in the 2020-2024 period reached 821,211 units spread across 492 districts/cities.

Central Java is the province with the most BSPS allocations, reaching 120,681 units. Meanwhile, Jakarta is the least with 160 units.

He also said that there were still 22 regencies/cities that had not been touched by the BSPS allocation during the 2020-2024 period.

"From the data we received, there were 22 regencies/cities for five years that did not receive BSPS. I make sure it will never happen again," he said.

He regretted this because the BSPS program itself should be felt by all regions in Indonesia. Ara promised, next year the BSPS program could be utilized by all regions in the country.

"We make sure that in 2026 all regencies/cities get BSPS, all regencies/cities are no exception. I think this is the first time, sir, no districts/cities cannot," he said.

To note, the Ministry of PKP's budget for 2026 has been approved by Commission V of the DPR of IDR 10.8 trillion.

Of this total, as much as Rp. 8.9 trillion or 81 percent was allocated specifically for the Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance (BSPS) program.

In addition to BSPS, the Ministry of PKP will also implement several other strategic programs in 2026, including the construction of flats with a budget of IDR 375.32 billion for the construction of 796 units or 21 towers.

Then, the construction of a special house amounted to IDR 249.43 billion for 654 units, including post-disaster management and the provision of reservists for the RISHA Panel.

Anggaran tahun depan juga diperuntukkan untuk bantuan prasarana, sarana, dan utilitas umum (PSU) rumah umum, dengan alokasi Rp29,08 miliar untuk 2.007 unit di kawasan pesisir, perkotaan dan perdesaan.

Adapun alokasi untuk penanganan permukiman kumuh & sanitasi sebesar Rp155,85 miliar dengan target 225 hektare pada 15 lokasi dan pemenuhan sanitasi 3.000 unit.

Terakhir, alokasi anggaran juga untuk dukungan manajemen sebesar Rp981,90 miliar, mendukung gaji dan tunjangan 3.791 pegawai, operasional 60 satker serta evaluasi kebijakan publik dan program.

Next year's budget is also intended for public home infrastructure, facilities and utilities (PSU) assistance, with an allocation of Rp29.08 billion for 2,007 units in coastal, urban and rural areas.

The allocation for handling slum & sanitation settlements is IDR 155.85 billion with a target of 225 hectares in 15 locations and the fulfillment of 3.000 sanitation units.

Finally, the budget allocation is also for management support of Rp. 981.90 billion, supporting salaries and allowances of 3,791 employees, operating 60 satkers and evaluating public policies and programs.
