JAKARTA - The Ministry of Finance reports that the realization of social assistance spending (bansos) until October 2025 has reached IDR 147.2 trillion, or 98.6 percent of this year's projection.

Deputy Minister of Finance Suahasil Nazara said that the realization increased by 11.1 percent on an annual basis (year on year/yoy) when compared to the same period in the previous year of Rp122 trillion.

"If social assistance spending grows by 11.1 percent and this has helped people's consumption and government spending," he said at a press conference on our State Budget, quoted on Friday, November 21.

Suahasil explained that the increase in the distribution of social assistance was mainly driven by economic stimulus policies in the form of adding social assistance benefits and Direct Cash Assistance for People's Welfare.

According to him, the distribution of social assistance is considered to contribute to increasing public consumption while at the same time supporting government spending.

"Especially in the fourth quarter of 2025, there will still be some fiscal stimulus to boost the economy," he said.

Adapun realisasi bansos tersebut disalurkan melalui beberapa program, antara lain Penerima Bantuan Iuran Jaminan Kesehatan (PBI JKN) sebesar Rp38,6 triliun untuk 96,8 juta peserta.
