The Government Will Not Announce The Increase In The UMP Tomorrow

The Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) has confirmed that the announcement of the 2026 Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) increase will not be carried out on November 21, 2025.

The Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Yassierli said the determination of the minimum wage this year was different from the previous year because there were new rules. According to him, the new regulations will be in the form of Government Regulations (PP). Meanwhile, the announcement schedule is no longer tied on November 21 as regulated in Government Regulation Number 36 of 2021.

"Indeed, if this is in the form of a PP, it means that we are not bound by the date in PP 36. So there is no bound to what date? November 21. So there is no bound by that," he told the media crew in Jakarta. Thursday, November 20.

However, Yassierli ensured that the government would immediately submit a schedule for the final announcement of the 2026 UMP increase to the public. Currently, his ministry is still trying to complete the process of determining as soon as possible.

"So God willing, it will be announced later to my friends when the announcement will be made. And we certainly tried earlier, as soon as possible we will convey it," he continued.

Yassierli said that later this rule would be signed by President Prabowo Subianto.

"In the form of PP, if the President signs it means that it has become PP. So when will it be announced, God willing, we will inform all of our friends," said Yassierli.

For this reason, he asked the public to wait for this rule to be issued within the time of the depayt

"So please wait, and I am always optimistic that God willing, the results will make the workers and workers happy," said Yassierli.
