JAKARTA - PT Industri Jamu Dan Pharmacy Sido Muncul Tbk (SIDO), has resumed the Social Service for Free Cataract Operations. Sido Muncul collaborated with the Association of Indonesian Eye Specialists (PERDAMI) and Siloam General Hospital Labuan Bajo.
In this cataract operation, Sido Muncul provided assistance of Rp. 214,700,000 for the implementation of cataract operations for 100 patients, on Friday, November 14, 2025.
Symbolically, the Director of PT Industri Jamu and Pharmacy Sido Muncul Tbk, Dr. (HC) Irwan Hidayat, delivered it virtually witnessed by a number of patients, to the Director of General Hospital Siloam Labuan Bajo, dr. Theresia Nina Noviriana, MPH, witnessed by the Head of the West Manggarai District Health Office, Adrianus OJO, SSI., APT, Representative from Central Perdami dr. Andi Elizar Asriyani, Sp.M, and other relevant officials.
Director of Sido Muncul, Irwan Hidayat, said that this activity is Sido Muncul's commitment to helping reduce people with cataracts in Indonesia, which continues to increase every year.
"Since 2011, Sido Muncul in collaboration with Perdami has operated more than 57,000 eyes throughout Indonesia. In Labuan Bajo we are targeting 100 eyes. And this year Sido Muncul has operated nearly 1000 eyes," said Irwan Hidayat.
Irwan also said that a blessing and happiness can contribute to patients in need because of their visual problems. He is also grateful, he can still provide assistance in addition to free cataract operations, namely free lipbing surgery and stunting handling.
"In addition to cataract operations, we also have a program for lip surgery, stunting treatment, and in the future we will enter the program for ODGJ," explained Irwan.

All activities that we carry out aim to contribute starting from advertisements that promote tourism, cataract operations, cleft lip operations as well as stunting handling assistance," added Irwan.
Irwan also appealed to people with cataracts not to have negative perceptions about operations. He hopes that operations will be one of the efforts that have a positive impact on improving the standard of living of the people of Labuan Bajo and surrounding areas.
