InJourney Airports Alert 37 Airports To Face The Jump Of Nataru Holiday Passengers

JAKARTA - PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports) ensures that all services at 37 airports are ready to face a surge in travel during the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year (Nataru) holidays.

InJourney Airports President Director Mohammad R Pahlevi said all airports would operate with the support of the Nataru Transportation Integrated Command Post.

"We are currently preparing to operate an integrated post at the InJourney Airports headquarters, as well as at 6 regional offices and 37 airports for 18 days which is planned from 18 December 2025 to 4 January 2026," said Pahlevi in an official statement, Monday, November 17.

Pahlevi said preparations include integrated operations, facility readiness, personnel deployment, and information technology system support.

Furthermore, Pahlevi said, airport integrated posts are a place for collaboration for all stakeholders, namely InJourney Airports as airport operators, Airport Authority Offices, airlines, ground handling operators, TNI, Polri, BMKG, AirNav Indonesia, Ministry of Health and other stakeholders.

"All procedures and protocols continue to be carried out to ensure the readiness of airport operating facilities and services, both on the air side such as runways, taxiways, aprons and on the land side, such as aircraft passenger terminals and cargo terminals," he said.

Pahlevi said the peak of passenger departure flow is expected to occur from December 20 to 21, 2025, while backflow is predicted from January 3 to 4, 2026.

"The company recorded a prediction of the flow of passenger movements during the Christmas and New Year 2025-2026 holiday periods of 9,035,958 passengers or grew 3.8 percent," he said.

Regarding personnel, continued Pahlevi, InJourney Airports has alerted a total of 16,000 personnel at all airports to support safety, security and services.

Security aspects are supported by the TNI and Polri, apart from Aviation Security. Meanwhile, for services, there are customer service, digital service to golfcar assistant personnel at a number of airports. Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) personnel are ensured to always be on standby, "explained Pahlevi.

InJourney Airports also ensures the readiness of information technology system facilities as one of the keys to smooth operation and services at InJourney Airports airports.

The operations of a number of airports under InJourney Airports are supported by a number of facilities equipped with the latest technology, including Airports Operation Control Center (AOCC) to find out the real-time condition of airport operations and optimize facilities with pre-operation, in-operation and post-operation procedures.

Then, Terminal Operation Control (TOC) as an information and command center in the airport terminal area, and the Management Operation Based on Traffic (MOT) system.

"The MOT system owned by InJourney Airports can predict passenger movements and recommend the number of facilities and human resources needed to ensure services continue to run smoothly and well and according to standards for airport service users," said Pahlevi.

Pahlevi also said that InJourney Airports is currently also preparing all airports it manages to be on standby 24 hours according to airline needs.

All airports are alerted to 24-hour operations according to airline needs. If there are airlines that will operate flights outside of operating hours or operating hours of an airport, the airport will adjust to be able to serve flights at the hours needed by airlines. The slot time at each airport will be optimized to accommodate the needs of public air travel," he said.
