KESDM Calls BP-AKR Wants To Order Third Base Fuel Cargo From Pertamina

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) revealed that the BP-AKR gas station operator, PT Aneka Petroindo Raya, gave a signal that it would add one basefuel cargo from Pertamina Patra Niaga.

Director General of Oil and Gas of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Laode Sulaeman said, thus, the next base fuel will be the third cargo that BP ordered after previously ordering 100,000 barrels, and the second cargo will arrive in the third week of November.

"We heard that there will be more third cargo. We will make sure later," said Laode to the media crew quoted on Thursday, November 13.

However, Laode could not confirm when the third cargo would arrive and the volume ordered.

"We pray that the third will be approved as well. This is just an indication, a good indication," continued Laode.

Regarding two other business entities such as PT Vivo Energy Indonesia and PT Shell Indonesia, Laode admitted that he did not know for sure the reason the two business entities had not agreed to buy a basefuel from Pertamina.

"Because there are those who succeed and some are still discussing. If what works, they mean proving that there are no obstacles. It's more appropriate to ask the B2B constraints," explained Laode.

Previously, on October 30, the management of BP-AKR announced that currently the stock of fuel at BP gas stations had started to be available again. The available fuel products are BP 92 and BP Ultimate Diesel fuel.

"BP-AKR informs that currently gas stations are serving BP 92 and BP Ultimate Diesel products," the management wrote in an official statement, Thursday, October 30.

In this statement, BP also emphasized that it will always strive to make fuel supply return to normal in the BP gas station network.

"SPBU bp remains loyal to serving customers with quality products, complete facilities and tenants that remain open to accompany your trip," the management wrote.
