JAKARTA - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) reported that Indonesia's capital market performance in October 2025 continued to show positive developments. This is reflected in the increasing number of new investors and the highest record stock market capitalization.

The Chief Executive of the OJK Capital Market, Derivative Finance and Carbon Exchange Supervisory Agency, Inarno Djajadi, stated that the strengthening of the national capital market was driven by improving global sentiment and stable domestic economic conditions.

"Domestic capital market performance in October 2025 continued its positive trend, supported by improving global sentiment and maintaining domestic economic performance," he said at a press conference, Friday, November 7.

He explained that the Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) at the end of October closed at the level of 8,163, up 1.28 percent on a monthly basis (month to month/mtm) and 15.31 percent since the beginning of the year (year to date/ytd).

Stock trading liquidity also recorded a significant increase, namely the average daily transaction value (RNTH) during October reaching IDR 25.06 trillion, to be the highest in Indonesia's capital market history. Throughout 2025, the average share transaction was recorded at IDR 16.62 trillion per day, an increase from IDR 12.85 trillion in the previous year.

"The increase in the RNTH value was contributed by domestic individual investors," said Inarno.

The number of investors in the capital market continues to increase rapidly, where during October 2025, there were an additional 520 thousand new investors. Cumulatively, until October 2025 the number of investors increased by 4.31 million on an annual basis, bringing the total to 19.18 million investors, or an increase of 29.01 percent compared to last year.
