JAKARTA - The Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) is projected to strengthen ahead of the announcement of the rebalancing or re-shake of the MSCI index which will be announced on November 5, 2025.

Yesterday, JCI closed up 111.20 points or 1.36 percent to 8,275.08. JCI recorded an increase of 1.66% in a month and 16.88% since the beginning of the year aka year to date (YTD).

Korea Investment & Sekuritas Indonesia (KISI) in its research said that this week the JCI could be positive to the level of 8,300 - 8,400. This was driven by sentiment in the decline in the Fed Rate last week and anticipation of MSCI's rebalancing announcement.

"In addition, there is also an effect from the results of the financial statements in the third quarter of 2025," explained KISI.

Meanwhile, BRI Danareksa Sekuritas stated, ahead of MSCI's rebalancing announcement on November 5, the JCI has the potential to move mixed with limited rebound opportunities. Technically, the index is still moving above the MA60 so that the strengthening room towards the resistance area is still open.

"However, volatility still needs to be anticipated because market participants adjust the portfolio to stocks that have the potential to enter or exit the MSCI index," explained BRI Danareksa Sekuritas.

Global sentiment began to become conducive after easing trade tensions between the United States (US) and China, as well as sloping expectations of domestic inflation and could provide a more accommodative monetary policy space for the market.

However, the rationality factor shows that historical November is one of the months with the lowest chance of strengthening. Thus, profit-taking is still possible in the short term.

JCI can be in the range of 8,300-8,400 by the end of 2025. The catalyst comes from the government's economic stimulus, the potential for cutting Bank Indonesia (BI) interest rates in November-December, and Santa Rally.

With this sentiment, BRI Danareksa Sekuritas recommends the banking sector for four books, consumer staples, and gold and nickel commodities.
