Banten Takes The Highest Andil In Inflation October 2025, Papua Alami Mountains Deepest Deflation

JAKARTA - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported that the Consumer Price Index (IHK) recorded monthly inflation of 0.28 percent month to month (mtm) in October 2025. The JCI rose from 108.74 in September 2025 to 109.04 in October 2025.

Deputy for Distribution and Services Statistics at the Central Statistics Agency BPS Pudji Ismartini explained, out of a total of 38 provinces throughout Indonesia, there were 28 provinces experiencing inflation and 12 other provinces experiencing deflation.

"The highest inflation occurred in Banten at 0.57 percent, and the deepest deflation occurred in Papua at 0.92 percent," said Pudji in a BRS release in Jakarta, Monday, November 3.

Meanwhile, based on its territory, in Sumatra, the highest inflation occurred in the Bangka Belitung Islands at 0.49 percent, while the deepest deflation occurred in North Sumatra at 0.20 percent.

Then, in the Kalimantan region, the highest inflation occurred in Central Kalimantan at 0.52 percent and the lowest inflation occurred in East Kalimantan at 0.01 percent.

Next, in the Sulawesi region, the highest inflation occurred in North Sulawesi at 0.12 percent and the deepest deflation in Southeast Sulawesi at 0.58 percent.

As for the Java region, the highest inflation occurred in Banten at 0.57 percent and the lowest inflation occurred in East Java at 0.30 percent.

Meanwhile, in the regions of Bali and Nusa Tenggara, the highest inflation occurred in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) at 0.35 percent and the deepest deflation in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) at 0.04 percent.

Finally, in Maluku and Papua, the highest inflation occurred in Central Papua at 0.32 percent and the deepest deflation in Mountains Papua at 0.92 percent.
