ASEAN Center For Assessment Of Batam Investment Appreciation Reaches IDR 54.7 Trillion In The Third Quarter Of 2025

JAKARTA - The Center for ASEAN Studies and Competitiveness of the Batam State Polytechnic expressed appreciation for the investment achievements of Batam City which reached IDR 54.7 trillion until the third quarter of 2025.

This achievement is considered to be proof of the success of investment service reform carried out by the Batam Entrepreneurship Agency (BP) under the leadership of Amsakar Achmad and Li Claudia Chandra.

The research institute assessed that the high realization of investment shows that Batam is getting stronger as one of the most competitive economic zones in Indonesia, and is able to attract the interest of domestic and international investors.

"The realization of investment of IDR 54.7 trillion in the third quarter of 2025 is not an ordinary figure. This is concrete evidence of reforms carried out by BP Batam under the leadership of Mr. Amsakar and Mrs. Claudia," said Research Fellow at the ASEAN Center for Studies and Competitiveness at the Batam State Polytechnic Billy Mambrasar in his statement, Tuesday, October 28.

Billy explained that this success could not be separated from the policy direction of BP Batam which focused on business certainty, the effectiveness of cross-institutional coordination, and the acceleration of investment services.

As a graduate of Harvard University and Australian National University (ANU), Billy, who is also known as a business consultant, assesses that BP Batam's strategy is in line with the best practices in developing global economic zones.

BP Batam's steps through the 'Invest in Batam' dashboard, licensing simplification, and improving the quality of industrial human resources through the Batam Talent Management (Mantab) program show a mature long-term vision. This is a reform model that can be replicated by other economic zones in Indonesia," he added.

Billy also gave special appreciation to the Deputy for Investment and Concession of BP Batam, Fary Djemy Francis, for its important role in formulating a comprehensive and result-oriented investment policy.

"Mr. Fary Djemy Francis' performance in ensuring investment realization runs with accurate data and a very significant proactive approach to investors. This is one of the main factors behind the increasing confidence in the business world in Batam," he said.

Pihaknya berharap, momentum positif tersebut dapat terus dijaga melalui sinergi lintas sektor dan penguatan kolaborasi antara dunia usaha, pemerintah, dan institusi pendidikan.

“Dengan menjaga konsistensi dan memperkuat ekosistem investasi yang inklusif, Batam berpotensi menjadi lokomotif pertumbuhan ekonomi baru di Indonesia,” tutup Billy.

He hopes that this positive momentum can be maintained through cross-sectoral synergy and strengthening collaboration between the business world, government, and educational institutions.

"By maintaining consistency and strengthening an inclusive investment ecosystem, Batam has the potential to become the locomotive of new economic growth in Indonesia," concluded Billy.
