Trade Expo Indonesia 2025 Gaet 8,045 Buyers From 130 Countries

TANGERANG - The Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) recorded 8,045 buyers or buyers from 130 countries participating in the 40th Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) in 2025. This number exceeds the target set, which is 5,000 buyers.

The Minister of Trade (Mendag), Budi Santoso, said this number shows the great enthusiasm of international business actors for Indonesian products and strengthens TEI's position as a global trade event in the region.

TEI this year received high enthusiasm from exporters and buyers, as many as 1,619 participants participated in TEI, and so far we have recorded 8,045 buyers registered from 130 countries," Budi said at the opening of the 40th TEI at ICE BSD, Tangerang, Wednesday, October 15.

For your information, Malaysia is recorded as the country of origin for buyers, the most for this year's TEI, which is 769 people. Then, followed by China 605 people and India 554 people. A number of other countries that were also actively registered, including Nigeria, Egypt, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Australia, and Singapore.

For 40 years, continued Budi, TEI has always played a role in bridging international buyers' meetings from abroad with domestic producers and exporters, ranging from novice exporters to large and experienced exporters.

"TEI is a moment that is always eagerly awaited every year, a big celebration that not only brings together national business actors, but also brings together business actors with thousands of buyers from all over the world," he said.

In the 40th TEI implementation, the Ministry of Trade targets the transaction value to reach 16.5 billion US dollars or equivalent to IDR 273.5 trillion (assuming an exchange rate of IDR 16,580 per US dollar).

"This target is expected to contribute to increasing exports of investment attraction and national economic growth," he said.
