Danantara Boss Calls Himbara Not Just Salurkan Government Funds Rp200 Trillion

JAKARTA - CEO of Danantara Indonesia, Rosan Roeslani, ensures that banks that are members of the Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara) do not carelessly channel government funds amounting to Rp200 trillion placed in banks.

Rosan emphasized that each use of these funds was carried out with the principle of prudence and strict evaluation.

"We are also always careful. This is public funds, government funds, we are always careful and evaluate," said Rosan after attending the Forbes Global CEO Conference 2025 event in Jakarta, Tuesday, October 14.

Rosan said, banks have their own criteria in providing credit distribution. He also mentioned the issue of granting bank credit which is usually associated with the loan period.

That's from banks also has their own criteria. There are a month, some can be more. The important thing is the principle of our caution," said Rosan.

On the other hand, Rosan also highlighted that the placement of funds is deposit on call (DOC) which has a tenor of six months. According to him, the term is quite short for long-term projects.

"Hopefully, the loan will not only take six months. Hopefully this can be long," he said.

Selain itu, Rosan berharap, suku bunga penempatan dana bisa lebih rendah dari saat ini yang berada di kisaran 3,8 persen.

Kata dia, penurunan suku bunga tersebut akan mampu mendongkrak sektor UMKM maupun koperasi.

“Misalnya kayak Bank Mandiri average dari perbankan kita kan kalau deposito ya itu 2,44 persen. Jadi harapannya bisa lebih rendah dari itu sehingga kita bisa memberikan rate yang lebih rendah lagi kepada UMKM. Jadi ekonomi kan bisa jadi lebih bergerak,” tuturnya.

In addition, Rosan hopes that the interest rate for placement of funds can be lower than today, which is in the range of 3.8 percent.

He said, the reduction in interest rates would be able to boost the MSME sector and cooperatives.

"For example, it's like Bank Mandiri's average from our banks, right if the deposit is 2.44 percent. So the hope is that it can be lower than that so that we can give the MSME a lower rate. So the economy can be more moving," he said.
