Kataraja Section 1 Toll Road Ready To Pass, PTPP's Commitment In Completing National Strategic Infrastructure Development

JAKARTA - PT PP (Persero) Tbk (PTPP), a national construction and investment company under the auspices of Danantara Indonesia, has reiterated its role in the development of national strategic infrastructure through the completion of the Kamal 'National Toll Road' Rageg (Kataraja) Section 1, which is now officially open to the public starting October 9, 2025 and is free until October 20, 2025.

The Kataraja Section 1 toll road is the main link between Soekarno Hatta International Airport and the Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) 2 area, a modern independent city developed by Agung Sedayu Group on the north coast of Jakarta. The presence of this toll road is expected to facilitate community mobility, accelerate logistics distribution, and open new economic access in the North Tangerang region, especially Kosambi, Teluknaga, and Rajeg.

The Kataraja Toll Road or Gate 1 PIK 2 Toll Road is opened to support the implementation of the 2025 Indonesia Tourism Fair (WITF). This route operates functionally without tariffs from 9 to 20 October 2025 at 06.00'22.00 WIB. Vehicle users from Soekarno International Airport "Hatta to PIK 2 only need to pay for the Sedyatmo Toll Road, while access from PIK 2 to Jakarta (Domestic Toll Road and JORR) is also free for the Kataraja/Gate 1 PIK 2.

PTPP's Corporate Secretary, Joko Raharjo, said that the opening of this toll road is an important momentum in strengthening national connectivity.

The opening of the Kataraja Section 1 Toll Road is a new milestone in the development of a road network that connects airports with strategic economic zones in northern Jakarta. We are also proud that the completion of this toll road can expand connectivity towards various tourist destinations, increase economic productivity, and can currently be enjoyed by the community for free during the trial period, from 9 to 20 October 2025," he said.

The Kataraja Section 1 toll road is directly connected to the Prof. Dr. Sedyatmo toll road in North Jakarta and is the initial part of the Kataraja toll road network to Rajeg which will later be connected to the Serbaraja (SerpongBalaraja) Toll Road. This route will be a new alternative for congestion decomposition in the west corridor of Jabodetabek, especially the Jakarta Merak section, while strengthening supply chains and logistics efficiency across provinces.

In the construction process, PTPP implemented Traveler Balance Cantilever Method for three special bridges, including the Sedyatmo Junction Bridge which passes above the Prof. Toll Road. Dr. Sedyatmo" is one of the busiest sections in Indonesia. This method allows construction work to take place without disturbing the traffic below and speeds up project completion times.

In addition, PTPP implements value engineering innovation in box girder segmentation to improve design efficiency, strengthen structure, and maintain work safety in dense areas of aviation and transportation activities. This confirms PTPP's technical capabilities and commitment to quality, innovation, and project sustainability.

More than just transportation infrastructure, the presence of the Kataraja Toll Road also expands connectivity towards various coastal tourist destinations such as Tanjung Pasir, PIK 2, and the islands in Jakarta Bay, as well as increasing economic potential and property value in the coastal areas of North Tangerang. This project is in line with the Asta Cita of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, especially in realizing equitable development, increasing productivity, as well as an inclusive and sustainable economic transformation.

With the operation of the Kataraja Section 1 Toll Road, PTPP reiterated its position as a strategic partner of the government in presenting world-class infrastructure that supports national connectivity, regional economic growth, and the welfare of the Indonesian people.
