JAKARTA - Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadive stated that the government opens the possibility to revise regulations related to Export Result Foreign Exchange (DHE), in line with President Prabowo Subianto's plan to review the policy.

Rules regarding DHE are listed in Government Regulation (PP) Number 8 of 2025 concerning the Foreign Exchange of Natural Resources Export Results (SDA), which will take effect from March 1, 2025.

Meanwhile, the main objective of this regulation is to increase the use of DHE in order to strengthen its contribution to the national economy.

Purbaya confirmed that the evaluation of the policy would indeed be carried out. However, it is not certain whether the evaluation will lead to a revision of the rules.

"DHE will be reviewed again. I don't know if it will be revised, I'm not in that much detail," he told the media crew, Monday, October 13.

He explained that the main reason for the evaluation to be carried out was because the policy had not shown a significant impact on increasing national foreign exchange reserves.

"It seems that the results have not really affected the number of our foreign exchange reserves. So Bank Indonesia may be seen again," he said.

Although attending a meeting with President Prabowo, Purbaya was reluctant to reveal too many details about the evaluation plan and emphasized that the final decision would be delivered directly by the President.

"I don't know (about the evaluation). Join (the meeting with Prabowo) but I don't think I heard. They will discuss it again, I'll let the President announce it later, I don't understand that," he said.
