Leaving The Position Of Badanas Boss, Arief Prasetyo Chooses To Focus On Accompanying His Wife And Children

JAKARTA - Arief Prasetyo Adi officially left his position as Head of the National Food Agency (Bapanas). He has officially carried out the task since 2022.

Now the position is filled by the Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Amran Sulaiman.

The handover of positions was carried out at the Bapanas Office, Jakarta, Monday, October 13.

Arief attended the handover ceremony with his wife Neila Aisha, who wore a light blue veil, white top, and black batik cloth. Meanwhile Arief wore a black suit, black cap, and blue suit, just like Amran.

When asked where he would continue his career, Arief admitted that he wanted to focus on accompanying his wife who was continuing her education at Kyunsung University, Busan, South Korea (South Korea). As long as his wife continues his education, his children will also need him.

"I want to focus on my wife first. My wife is still in school, continuing her studies at Kyunsung University in Korea. Then my children will also need me first for some time," he said.

However, Arief admitted that he was ready if he was given a new assignment from President Prabowo Subianto.

"Unless there is an order from the President, we follow the orders of the President," said Arief.

Pada kesempatan itu, Arief juga menyampaikan terima kasih kepada Prabowo yang sudah mempercayakan dirinya untuk menjaga ketersediaan, stabilisasi harga pangan, dan keamanan pangan.

Dia mengaku akan terus mendukung target pemerintah dalam mencapai swasembada pangan.

“Ke depan, tentunya swasembada pangan yang dicita-citakan harus kita support bersama-sama. Jadi mendukung (support) swasembada pangan ini dari mana pun kita berada,” tutur Arief.

On that occasion, Arief also expressed his gratitude to Prabowo for entrusting him to maintain the availability, stabilization of food prices, and food safety.

He admitted that he would continue to support the government's target of achieving food self-sufficiency.

"In the future, of course, we must support the food self-sufficiency we aspire to together. So support this food self-sufficiency from wherever we are," said Arief.
