JAKARTA - Director General of Oil and Gas (Migas) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Laode Sulaeman revealed that the second phase of import base fuel for private gas stations by Pertamina will arrive tomorrow, Thursday, October 2, 2025.

"The second cargo, God willing, will arrive at the port tomorrow, so tomorrow there will be 2 cargoes," said Laode in a Hearing Meeting with Commission XII of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Wednesday, October 1.

With the arrival of this second cargo, Laode ensured that his party would strive so that private gas stations could carry out further negotiations with Pertamina regarding the use of base full for fuel stocks in each company.

However, Laode did not reveal further how much volume of fuel base was imported in this second stage. However, he confirmed that there was already a private gas station that agreed to supply base fuel from Pertamina Patra Niaga.

"Today there is already one private BU who committed to taking as much as 40,000 barrels of cargo containing 100,000 barrels belonging to Pertamina Patra Niaga," explained Laode.

Unlike Laode, on the same occasion, Pertamina's Deputy President Director Patra Niaga said Vivo canceled buying base fuel from Pertamina even though he had previously agreed to buy 40,000 barrels from Pertamina.

Achmad said, actually after the meeting, there were two private gas stations that agreed to take a base fuel, namely Vivo and BP-AKR, but were later canceled due to several issues.

"The two private gas stations are willing, interested in buying from us base fuel," he said.

He added that this agreement lasted until Friday, September 26, but was later canceled by vivo, who previously agreed to carry out business to business (B2B) with Pertamina.

"After agreeing 40,000 barrels, in the end it was not agreed again. So not all (taking base fuel)," continued Achmad.

The former Director General of Oil and Gas explained that the reason Vivo resigned from this agreement was because there was a content in Pertamina's basefuel that did not match Vivo's specifications, namely ethanol content.

"The issue conveyed by fellow gas stations is about content. The content contains ethanol," he said.
