JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) has decided not to change the electricity tariff for PT PLN (Persero) customers in the fourth quarter from October to December 2025.
PLN President Director, Darmawan Prasodjo said, the government consistently keeps electricity tariffs affordable throughout 2025 in order to prioritize people's purchasing power.
He explained that the affordability of electricity tariffs throughout 2025 is a tangible manifestation of the Government through PLN in maintaining the purchasing power of the Indonesian people. He also emphasized the company's commitment to continue to provide reliable electricity services to all customers.
"The affordability of electricity tariffs throughout 2025 is part of the Government's efforts to maintain people's purchasing power while at the same time encouraging the national economy. PLN is ready to fully support it by continuing to maintain the reliability of electricity supply and improve the quality of service for all customers," said Darmawan, Monday, September 29.
Darmawan added, in addition to continuing to maintain the reliability of electricity supply, PLN also continues to take operational cost efficiency steps and improve electricity access for the community.

In the regulation, electricity tariff adjustments are made every 3 (three) months by referring to the realization of macroeconomic parameters, namely the exchange rate, Indonesian Crude Price (ICP), inflation, and the Reference Coal Price (HBA).
