Regarding Additional Fuel To Shell Cs, Pertamina Boss Try To Fulfill It In A Week

JAKARTA - President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) Simon Aloysius Mantiri reported to President Prabowo Subianto about the plan to distribute additional fuel oil imported by Pertamina for a number of private public gas stations.

Simon went before President Prabowo at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Friday night, September 19, hours before the President left for Osaka, Japan, after a number of owners of private public gas stations (SPBU), such as Shell, Vivo, BP, and Exxon Mobil agreed to import additional fuel oil (BBM), which means outside the quota set by the government, through Pertamina with a business-to-business (B2B) mechanism.

"Earlier, after the meeting with the government was completed, the ESDM (Ministry) was still continuing, immediately continued. So, we asked for the allocation of needs until the end of the year. Likewise, all teams were immediately met earlier," Simon said in response to reporters' questions after facing President Prabowo quoting Antara.

However, Simon has not been able to explain the volume of fuel needed by the private sector until the end of the year because it is still being discussed by Pertamina and private business entities.

Simon estimates that the number of fuel needs for private gas stations is not too large because it is only to meet needs until the end of 2025.

On the same occasion, Simon emphasized that within the next week, Pertamina's additional fuel will arrive in Indonesia and be immediately distributed to private gas stations.

"Anyway, we will try to fulfill this in the next week and private gas stations can run normally," he said.

At the same location on a separate occasion, Simon explained that the fuel imported by Pertamina for private gas stations was in the form of base fuel, namely fuel with pure octane levels without additional additive substances.

Thus, the owners of the private gas station can continue to process the pure fuel according to their respective specifications.

Simon continued that the stages of importing fuel for the private sector were held openly and transparently.

"This fuel base is an initial base fuel which will then be prepared or added add additively according to the recipe or kitchen secret of each business entity. Thus, we have found common ground. Well, of course, each business entity has a strategy, has certain tips, as well as has certain recipes to encourage the quality of fuel that is more quality in society," said Pertamina's Managing Director.
